Causes

AIDS or Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome develops among people who have contracted HIV of human immunodeficiency virus. HIV can be transmitted through the following:

• Blood transfusion

• Mother to child transmission during pregnancy, birth, or breastfeeding
