Use:

This test is looking for evidence of an infection by a bacterium, known as Helicobacter pylori. This bacterium is now known to be a major cause of Peptic Ulcer Disease.

H. Pylori is also associated with the development of gastric cancer.

Antibodies to H. Pylori help identify severity and duration of infection.

Recommended For:

Suspected stomach cancer, peptic ulcer disease, developing gastritis and gastric adenocarcinoma.

Special Notes:

No special preparation is necessary prior to stool sample collection.
