Use:

Serum N-Telopeptide is a biomarker of bone resorption as it is produced from the bone during the process of degradation. The serum level of N-Telopeptide is directly related to the rate of bone resorption and to the bone mineral density.

Recommended For:

Monitor the response of different antiresorptive medications, estrogen replacement, and calcium supplementations on bone resorption.

Special Notes:

The best time to collect the sample for monitoring is just before or on the first day of using therapy. The subsequent samples must be collected at the same time as the first one.
